On November 1, 2012 nearly a dozen campuses; from North Carolina to New Mexico screened the documentary film, “You Are the One” by Barbara Rosenthal. The film beautifully traces the journey of One Student Founders Kelly Addington and Becca Tieder and their quest to address sexual violence and create social change.
Following the film, student leaders lead critical discussions about sex, sexual violence and the role each individual can play in violence prevention. Through these events hundreds of One Student pledges were signed, communities were empowered and thought provoking discussions opened doors between students and administrators to address policy on campus. For the second year running One Student was able to celebrate the anniversary of our founding with advancing our mission.
