One Student is seeking a driven, visionary thinker who is socially savvy and technologically gifted who is willing to work to grow our organization and inspire campus communities to enact lasting social change to help end sexual violence.
This is an opportunity to promote sexual assault awareness and healthy relationships in a positive, inclusive and creative manner that will have a meaningful impact on shifting the campus culture. You will also gain real experience in organizational outreach and social media marketing.
Qualified applicants must be comfortable with all major social media platforms, have excellent writing skills, basic knowledge of sexual assault issues and their impact on our culture and will be able to create interesting and educational content for our users.
The ideal candidate will be an articulate, creative and organized self starter. Prefer applicants with some writing experience who are passionate about sexual assault awareness, sexual health and sexual equality. Only sexually empowered individuals or those with the desire to become so need apply.
This is a part-time, unpaid telecommute position. Start date is September 2011 and will conclude in December 2011. If desired, we will work with the student and university to ensure college credit is provided for the internship. Position responsibilities will include the following:
- Post regularly on One Student community wall/ blog.
- Manage One Student’s Twitter feed, Facebook presence and other social media outlets
- Arrange partnerships with other bloggers and likeminded organizations
- Respond to user feedback
- Research news and events related to sexual assault on campus
- Contribute to program development
